Position Summary
We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our growing team! As a Staff Accountant, you will collaborate cross-functionally with various departments to support Accounting Processes.

Duties and Responsibilities
Primary
- Support duties related to accounts payable and accounts receivable functions including but not limited to: post invoices and payment requests; setting up new vendors in accounting software; balance statements and preparing accounts for payments by verifying data in system; assist with account reconciliation; processing accounts payable and receivable invoices; assisting in the collection of outstanding amounts.
- Assist with preparation of financial and statistical statements and reports.
- Analyze financial information to identify discrepancies.
- Research and resolve discrepancies and issues in a timely fashion, both with internal key personnel and external vendors.
- Maintain confidentiality of all financial data.
- Interpret and apply accounting policies, rules, and regulations to all work in order to ensure compliance with applicable standards.
- Compile and prepare routine reports and summaries.
- Coordinate among key personnel to expedite critical payments.
- Assist with and administer payroll related inquiries.
- Collaborate with other departments in maintaining ERP data accuracy and facilitate the enforcement of internal control processes.
- Provide accounting and payroll related support to the finance department.
- Participate in and provide suggestions for the development and continuous improvement of all departmental processes.

- Participate in and further the Company’s health & safety program.
- Report equipment malfunctions immediately.
- Report quality deficiencies immediately.
- Offer suggestions for process improvement.
- Other related duties.
Qualifications
Knowledge
- Fluent in verbal and written English.
- Bachelor’s or equivalent degree in accounting, bookkeeping, finance or similar field.
- 1 year of relevant accounting experience.
- 1 year experience with ERP systems and QuickBooks required.
Assets
- Familiarity with Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Experience in other accounting software.
Skills
- Willingness to learn.
- Proficiency in mathematics (adding, subtracting, multiplying & dividing).
- Basic proficiency in using computers.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Excellent attention to detail.
- Good time management.

- Good influencing of both colleagues and leadership.
